As a tribute to his death, I decided to post one of my research papers I wrote over a year ago for a history class, on the role Ronald Reagan played in the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Cold War. First it gives a detailed account of the Cold War and the buildup of the arms race, then explains how Reagan helped end the arms race, and the role his Strategic Defense Inititive played. Be prepared, it is quite long, at over 7,800 words and 24 pages. Also keep in mind that I wrote it a while back, when I was much dumber. Oh, and all of my facts are cited in footnotes at the bottom of the link, and I used over 30 different sources
