It was a mistake, imo, that the WH didn't ask the networks to cover the speech. Then they would have been nearly compelled to cover it.
No speech coverage, no rebuttal. In particular, no Nancy Pelosi...I like it.

Bush could have requested that the networks carry this. He did not. Of course, if he breaks news, the networks will look stupid.
General Zinni is also not God. The evidence of his fallibility is his inability to understand the threat posed by terrorists, his failure to urge Clinton to act decisiviely following the declaration of war on America by bin Laden, the bombing of Khobar Towers and the attack on the USS Cole.

The so called "news media" do not report the news. They are the news. They twist the news to fit their agenda (which is to defeat Bush) no matter what it cost to our fighting men and women in the military.
The blood of our troops are on the hands of those who undercut and distort this war (yes war). The Terrorists succeed when the news media and the liberals in this country give aid and comfort to these sworn enemies to our civilization
