I am just looking for info - believe it or not detailed articles on the Berg matter just don't exist yet. Seems like the investigative journalists either can't or won't really go after this one, especially the big hitters.
The crazy Romanian guy rants and raves on many points but there is a lot of data & other links - I don't assume for a minute that everything he says is correct. FR has had very little new stuff on Berg today - and I for one find it utterly impossible to believe that this kid accidentally gave his password out to potential terrorists a few years back, only to end up executed by Al Qaeda in Iraq. I'm not saying he was a terrorist himself, but stupidity doesn't quite cover all of the strange facts about Nick Berg's life.
It is a mystery but stupidity can in fact lead to horrible death. I did see an interesting story today--can't remember where, which quotes his Iraqi business partner Aziz as saying that in his last conversation with Berg, Berg said he had found "four nice men" who were Jordanians and were going to travel with him to Jordan. He also said that berg's cell phone had been used as late as April 19 and were to Jordan and the UAE and some places in Iraq.
Here's the story I was referring to. http://washingtontimes.com/world/20040518-092853-8800r.htm
