The picture I saw of those men stacked like dead bodies was bad...abhorrent. I'm glad the President told the world that. And I'm glad to hear you say it.

Rush didn't get where he is without knowing what his audience wants to hear.

I'm not talking about Rumsfeld's heart. I'm talking about what the issue has mutated into. Try reading the "frickin" post more carefully next time!

Recognizing wrong is not groveling, nor is it weak. You don't understand lib calculus.
To: philosofy123
It is simply a way to sooth the anger around the world Just watch. It will do precisely the opposite.
To: M. Thatcher
I was speaking of the principle of right and wrong.
Believe me, I have the libs' number.
To: cyncooper
If you had the libs' number, you would know: NEVER apologize. Never. Never. Never.
To: M. Thatcher
I have accurately stated since this story broke that what the libs mean is that Bush and Rumsfeld authorized this type of treatment.
The administration most certainly did not approve and authorize this conduct. It was done by rogues and it was wrong and the administration correctly says so.
One does not defend the indefensible. Ever.
They are not saying this was approved behavior, per the dems' demands--which is what the libs mean here.
To: cyncooper
Beside the point. Your cogent statements have NOTHING to do with the politics of the situation. There's blood in the water, thanks to Bush administration apologies, and there's no bunch on the planet better at exploiting such blood than American liberals.
To: Know your rights
Are you arguing that the Bush administration should live down to the standards of the Klintoon administration?
No. I am arguing that the US Government did not sanction these horrendous acts against the Iraqi prisoners, but they DID gas and incinerate 80 men, women and children at Waco, and the media all but ignored it.

(Libs, want answers on 911? Ask Clinton why he met with Monica more than with his CIA director.)
To: M. Thatcher
Just let Rumsfeld apologize. If the world would still think that we stink, that is alright too. At least we showed that we are civilized humans, and we stand for the right thing. In case you have not been to a REAL church lately, Jesus said if you love the people who love you, what good is that. Even worthless barbarians Moslems do that. I want you to love your enemies! This is of course paraphrasing the bible. Some how the evangelical born again crowd selectively, and conveniently chose to ignore the merciful forgiving side of Christianity.
To: philosofy123
Loving enemies has nothing to do with public apologies at show trials.
