I think its a legitimate question. After all, its not your everyday poster who has multiple windows open at any one time and has current and backdated versions of a thread all going at the same time like Saber says he does. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to simply to read about current events.

How would you know how many windows the everyday poster has open. Who cares anyway.

I never claimed to "know." All I claimed is that it seems odd for a poster to have multiple windows open, carrying present and back versions of the same thread. I'm still struggling to understand how that helps a user to read material on FreeRepublic.

Who cares anyway.

Saber does, apparently. He brought it up when I asked.

I always have at least 30 tabs (windows) open in Safari, it's a lot more convenient.
