Less chat, more news and serious political analysis, is my interest.

What do you consider "political analysis"? Is it constitutional debate? Is it current events? Is it political campaigns? Is it church-state? The drug-war? The war on terrorism? All of these things are debated daily around here. There are times when one event takes over i.e. the California election and we will be going into the presidential election soon so the focus will probably be there. I have a suggestion, go to LP or any of the other sites and see if you have the member base that allows for the incredible range of "political analysis" that you say is lacking here.

That really isn't the point. What has happened to the quality of the political analysis that used to be such a prominent feature of FR? Do you think it's the same as it was two years ago?
