I rarely posted, mostly lurked.

I was interested in the science - it fell through the cracks because of Cotton Mathers such as the erstwhile ALS.

Perhaps we can gain some understanding of the Perverse Preacher archetype in the American popular pantheon through observing the effectiveness of his style, while he lasted.

Jim Jones' people drank the original Koolaid, remember. ;^)

I guess the Perverse Preacher makes those who fall to his charms feel 'special'.
