It will never end, Jim. The devil will always attempt to belittle those who seek to follow God. Christians will always forget that God commanded them to Love one another and that they must forgive those that sin against them.
The passions on each side run too deeply.
There is a great book called "Siblings Without Rivalry". The main premise of the book is: the more you interfere, the stronger the rivalry becomes. Yes, the author says there are behavior limits, but banishment of family members is NOT one of the recommended punishments. It's a good read, and it may just help.
