I vaguely recall Jim Robinson doing that once upon a time. It may have been for just a particular thread or a limited amount of time. At any rate, Jim Robinson has the patience of Job and has let some previously banned posters return.

The flip side is that some here are suggesting bidding (FR donations) to get someone banned (or possibly suspended). That would surely make for an interesting thread and probably would raise some quick dough to boot! LOL! Of course, I'm very confident that would never happen here except perhaps in jest.
