I'm multitasking - following this thread and running a video rendering program, converting some old Super 8 home movies to digital format. The rendering program is cranky and requires frequent tweaks to keep it running, so here I sit.

Would you know what's the most practical way, with the new electronic toys that have come out over the past two years, to put your old 8 mm home videos into a DVD disk format?

I'd like to do this for safer storage of the family home videos.

Do you need a video card? How do you set things up?
