VANITY: The "Truth" about JimRob and Free Republic according to BADJOE

Dear Free Republic Friends,

My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.

So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):

I have poisoned the well.

By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.

By my intellectual ineptitude.

By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.

By my biting every hand that fed me.

By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.

By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.

Evidenced by:

One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.

By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.

BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.

Conclusion:

It is a sad day.

For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.

So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?

I can hardly wait.

Yes, it was cryptic. Nevertheless I said about as much as I could, and maybe more than I should.

But if I'm wrong for making "cryptic" charges when I, admittedly, have only incomplete information myself, maybe those of you (still) obsessively defending certain banned posters, not to mention revisiting sore subjects, should consider the incompleteness of your own information.

At least some or your fellow freepers (by which I mean more than one) appear to sincerely believe... Well, scratch that. I don't want to prolong this unhelpfull discussion about "stalking". Let me put it this way. The moderators made a decision (after warnings and temporary suspensions, btw) to ban a certain freeper. Maybe there was more to that than meets the eye, and maybe there wasn't. I don't know for sure myself, and neither do you. (And, again, if you do know your continuining to bring up this subject is, potentially, invidious as well as irritating.)

Either way a decision was made, by the moderators, uncompensated people working hard every day, and doing the very best they can, to maintain a civil and stimulating forum for our mutual benefit. Why don't you try accepting it. It's been nearly two months, after all, which seems plenty long enough for mourning (and pissing and moaning).

Think of it this way: An FR university where a professor is at your fingertips to answer any question you have free of charge. WOW. This is most certainly NOT a waste of bandwidth.

The science threads are also frequently graced by the presence of a certain poster who is a master of many subjects including biology, chemistry, physics, and statistics, has overturned 150 years of scientific theory, and is surely awaiting the Nobel prize in several disciplines.

Just think we can claim we were in the presence of greatness someday!

Sorry if it was "irritating", but she did not prove her case on stalking and now on the libertypost.org website we see it isn't the first time that she has made this charge. Since the other poster, by whom I believe you mean ALS, isn't here to defend himself, we will do so. I posted on another thread, it seems eons ago that if they would stop bringing him up I would stop defending him. They are the ones who are obsessed with this banned poster and you're darn right, we are defending him. If you are interested in hearing the other side of the story, its on the other website. Since she already posted their personal emails (all running over a one day period of time), its fair you hear the other side. You can find it in the link in my tag.

RA, in Gore's defense here, evos is a shortened form. It beats PatrickHenry's calling us "creatonoids" Stalking was the charge against ALS. Digging up dirt is what AG was doing when she was banned from designeduniverse.com and had jumped on the website to try to find a post by goodseed to expose her as a returned poster. The fact she knew that there was a post to be found, by the way, indicates that she was on that site a little more than the tiny amount of time that she suggests. Slander is what is being done to ALS here when he was accused of stalking. AG was given an opportunity to prove the charge and did not. ALS was banned for something he didn't do. He and she had probably less than a dozen freepmails back and forth and 5 posts in a 3 day period. I also think an email or two was included in there and all of these postings were mutual. When she stopped emailing, so did he. They had a disagreement. There was not a "stalking". By the way, Vade called us "creepie stalkies" earlier on this thread. Doesn't do much for their case either.

I understand your sentiment here. However, as I pointed out, those comments and words (and others like them) have been used by Gore ever since I joined.

All I am doing is trying to point out to him that it does not lend itself well to his argument.

I didn't realize how ironic this was a moment ago. I just searched through the entire thread. YOU were the first poster to bring up the matter of banned posters and the CREVO threads, in #905. Your outburst, at least in this thread, was gratuitous and entirely unprovoked.

Admittedly VadeRetro was the first to bring up the issue of "Cyber stalking," in #1113, but he did so in passing, without naming any names, and only after you continued with copious bitching after receiving at least two direct responses from Jim Robinson himself, trying (too gently it seems) to give you a clue. It was again YOU who first named both ALS and Alamo-Girl, in #1124, in connection with the issue of alledged "stalking".

So let me simply ask you: are you willing to actually follow through with what you say above, that you won't complain about banned posters if they aren't brought up? Are you willing to not bring the matter up yourself? Are you willing to commit to that?

John was in rip-'n-read-from-the-DNC-fax-machine mode, trying to sell the big lie that the Iraq war was based on a Presidential claim of "imminent threat" from Iraq. Tony noted that Bush never claimed "imminent threat," playing the SOTU claim were he (Bush) said we must act before a threat can fully develop. Then Snow quoted a speech from last October, by Rockefeller, with text onscreen, where he (Rockefeller) claimed an "imminent threat".

It was priceless.

I agree with you except for OKCSub's banning. His research and writings on flight 800 seemed to have been well-researched.
