VANITY: The "Truth" about JimRob and Free Republic according to BADJOE
LibertyPost.org | 10/10/03 | BADJOE (Slightly revised by JimRob)

Edited on 10/10/2003 2:27:00 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

Dear Free Republic Friends,

My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.

So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):

I have poisoned the well.

By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.

By my intellectual ineptitude.

By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.

By my biting every hand that fed me.

By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.

By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.

Evidenced by:

One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.

By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.

BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.

Conclusion:

It is a sad day.

For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.

So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?

I can hardly wait.

Is it the 18th yet? Tick, tock.

You used to make a contribution, in spite of yourself, but any more you're all myopic, paranoid, barely-sane rage and ludicrously inflated ego. Try being a decent and composed human being. Yeah, I know, you're fighting the evil "evos" as a champion of righteous truth. Get a clue. You can't be an effective advocate unless you get a grip.

But, whatever. You're not getting it, so go ahead on, for as long as you last.

Now I am totally confused about what this thread was about already.

Something a guy named Joe being bad, and others saying Luke was a fish! Near as I can tell...

You used to make a contribution

See, that's a personal attack. You could not quote or respond to anything on the post I made so you start bashing me. Thanks for the great example of evolutionist behavior on these threads.

I have discovered to never, ever get on a thread where religion is the focus. The end of this thread is a perfect example.

I forgot to include you as one who runs with the pack. But no one has to take my word for it. It is there for all to see on the c/e threads.

I agree that the evolution threads are about religion. Problem is that the atheists call evolution science and call those who oppose evolution anti-science. This needs to be corrected and that is what I am trying to do on those threads.

You are trying to correct something that is not incorrect.

If you showed any type of education, or showed any actual knowledge of what science is actually all about, I might actually let you get away with saying such naive things, but your total ignorance, and complete disregard for what science actually is, is unbelieveable.

Your namecalling and outright attacks on those that disagree with you have gotten very old, and I have only been here 3 weeks or close to it. Claiming that calling a group names is not calling specific posters names is pushing the limit. Claiming that since you did not target a particular poster, that it is OK, is a legal fiction. If one of the other side said something to the effect that all creationists are (put your name here) you would start screaming Christian bashing at once, yet you claim that we shouldn't get angry, and if we do, it is because evolution is religion? Does logic mean nothing to you?

Your total disregard for what science actually is, your tossing aside of data and evidence as if it means nothing is just outright amusing to watch.

Your continued whining about how evolution is not science but a religion, is just outright hilarious. It shows the Holy Warrior mentality that is behind all of your posts.

Anyone that claims that evolution is not science, and then also claims that science somehow disproves evolution, is a holy warrior extroadinaire, and to come here onto this thread with your ridiculous assertions is not the smartest thing that you could have done.

I would advise you to relax a bit, take a break, and not post such things on this thread again, move them back to the evo/creo threads where they belong, actually they don't belong there either, but you're going to do it anyway, so why fight it?

I would advise all of you to move this debate somewhere else. This is not the place for it.

This is my personal opinion of course, feel free to do whatever you want.

Did I complain? Yes, as a matter of fact I have, but privately. I don't really mind being insulted myself, but I recognise that the use of insulting words weakens an argument.

That is why we tried to make an agreement not to use insults. One of the signs of adulthood is the ability not to escalate a round of insults.

"I've been curious to see who would come up with the correct answer to the question. I do know who said it, but I wasn't asked so I don't wish to spoil the quest. "

Rest assured it wasn't me. My reply here was why dignify this guy with a response. It's being as childish as he is. He's just another sore loser.

And what is painfully clear to me is that they will NEVER solve it!

That is the painful truth, isn't it?

It will never be solved, because the Holy Warriors cannot abide science, it is not something that they can latch onto or truly understand. They think that if you understand science, religion cannot have a place in your life. With that kind of attitude, how can it be solved?

You can either understand science, or you can be religious, there is no in between, it is black and white, there is no gray. No, with that kind of thinking, it will never be solved.

I have a follow-up to our discussion last night, now that I am more awake. In reference to the following verse:

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. - Matthew 22:40

The phrase “all the law and the prophets” refers to entire body of Scripture. The law was understood to mean the Pentateuch, the first five books. To support that understanding:

The chapter recounts Jesus' conversation with the Pharisees who were seeking to entangle him with arguments at law, verse 15:

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in [his] talk.

The Pharisees baited Him with a question about taxes. Then the Sadducees tried to trip him up on the resurrection, verse 23:

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

His astonishing answers must have really disturbed the Pharisees, because they counseled again together and a lawyer among them was the one who asked which was the greatest commandment in the law:

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, [which was] a lawyer, asked [him a question], tempting him, and saying, Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?

But as with all His previous answers in Chapter 22, Jesus surpasses their motive by showing that the law (and the prophets) hang on the Great Commandments. IOW, the Pharisees failed to get their priorities straight.

I say this because immediately following this engagement with the Pharisees, Jesus turns to the multitudes and His disciples in chapter 23 and says this:

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, [that] observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay [them] on men's shoulders; but they [themselves] will not move them with one of their fingers.

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, [even] Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, [even] Christ.

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Following that preface, Jesus passionately indicts the Scribes and Pharisees point by point.

BTW, the failure to love is so serious an offense - it is Jesus' first indictment of the church. In Revelation 2, speaking to the church of Ephesus:

Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Oh stop it. You want to argue about whose horse is higher? Both sides are obnoxious. It will never be solved because both sides think they are absolutely right, and to consider anything else would mean they would have to burn down everything else they believe in. The ramifications of losing the argument are too high.... for both sides. No one will ever win.

I have a world view that conveniently leaves you both out.
