I guess all families have arguements from time to time. At least they're not as nasty as in the past (from this side of the monitor).

I wish you much luck and patience.

A year and a half ago I was crying about the moderation myself. A lot of that was misunderstanding, eventually cleared up.
We're all on pretty long leashes here. Most of us like it that way. Some of us hotheads need that. The people who really need to be banned get there eventually.
I always wondered, though; actually more like suspected.
How do you handle the crybabies who go running to the mods or to you constantly because their inanities are not esteemed as much as they think they should be?
The egos... the demands for answers... the hissy fits when they are ignored... do we really need to coddle losers like those?
I thought this was an adult forum.
Not so good...
Thank you very much. Next conquests: spelling and grammar!
Why are guys always
falling to their knees near me?
Are they all praying?!
"I remember the good old days back in '98. No flamewars. No trolls. No disrupters. No chat. All serious talk about constitutional matters 24 hours per day. "
I remember those days too!
Ich: *boggle*
I've never seen disruption in a more-or-less organized mass action as happened back in June through August on any thread having to do with biology, cosmology, astronomy, paleontology, etc. (All of the preceding and more can be summed up under the heading "evolution" according to some people.) Cyber stalking of individuals. The publication (on another site) of a hit list of people to get banned from FR.
The culprits: the very clique whose warning (and in three cases eventual banning) Ditto laments in posts 905 and 927. Her bunch.
Yup.
Also like pain-killers.
Would you know what's the most practical way, with the new electronic toys that have come out over the past two years, to put your old 8 mm home videos into a DVD disk format?
I'd like to do this for safer storage of the family home videos.
Me too.
I have so many I have been procrastinating.
And waiting for the technology to make it foolproof.
just when they think they have things just right, somebody invents a better fool...
Meek, have you used your Texas ping list for the FReepathon? Okay, now I am shamefacedly clicking my way back to the contribution site because I've put it off all week.hehe !
Way to go for giving to FR! I gave some days back. A little more than a dollar, but did ya see the comment by JustAmy ? I love it ! Poor kind soul that gave that $1 !
I pinged the FULL Texas list a couple of days ago and it got things going between the Texas and Florida Freepers. Texas overtook Florida and so Florida was trying to get 2nd place back. A Florida Freeper pinged me and some Florida Freepers asking us to hit our Florida ping lists. So I pinged the TEXAS list back to it !! LOL !
Being a good sport, tho, I took my little Florida ping list that I use and pinged it too ! :O)
Thanks !
FreeRepublic.com is the best site on the 'Net !!
Wow ! Look at that. Florida came back again too.Almost caught up to California ! ...
