McClintock has accomplished quite a bit in slowing down the race to create a liberal Utopia in California(i.e. total disaster).
Arnold...even as an actor...has helped create more government programs.
This is about Arnold, not McClintock. Let me remind you of the origination of this thread: conservatives are being told to vote for Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Conservatives asked one question: Why?
And for that question we're being excoriated and ex-communicated.

Good point. I've been saying the same thing for weeks now. I have asked, time and again, why any conservative should support Arnold. Not one single FR poster has been able to give me a reason, other than "he can win". Well, of course a liberal can win in CA. If all of the "Republicans" who claim to be conservative who support Arnold supported McClintock, McClintock could also win. That these people say McClintock cannot win is really an admission that they would never vote for a conservative. But, that raises the question, why does that mean a conservative should vote for Arnold, even if McClintock were out of the race?
The other thing that I love, is that Arniebots have taken to calling non-Arnold supporters as "zealots" and other names, straight out of the Rat playbook. Next, they will be saying we are racists, homophobes, etc.
What they fail to see, is that it is not a question of zealotry, or inflexibility. It is a question of value. In order for conservatives to compromise, they need to be offered something in return. Arnold has gone out of his way, not only to not offer conservatives even a crumb, but to actively insult conservatives. How any conservative could feel compelled to vote for him, and expect others to do so, is beyond me.
In what world do they think conservatives will get any respect from the CA gop if they vote for Arnold now? Basically, the lesson the CA gop, and probably the national gop, will learn is that it is o.k. to move as far left as Diane Fienstien (oops, I forgot, she supports school choice, Arnold does not), and conservatives will vote for them b/c they have an "R".
Logic dictates that conservatives do not support Arnold. Zealotry for a political party or celeberity worship are the only things that would dictate supporting Arnold.
