Arnold will be as good a Republican as Jim Jeffords has turned out to be.

Arnold could very easily change party affiliation once he is in. He would have to make absolutely no fundamental changes in policies or views--unless it is to become a bit more conservative so as not to offend moderate Democrats.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a Republican since the 80's, at least. He served under Bush 41, and campaigned for him The idea that he would switch parties is ludicrous.
