You're missing the point. The point is, what man is going to be interested in striving and working 40, 50, 80-hour weeks -- for nothing? For the honor of having the end-results of all his work taken away when the wife decides she feels unfulfilled? Men will start taking a pass on that game. In fact, many already have.

And women NEVER do any REAL work, do they? They just get handed jobs because of affirmative action, taking jobs away from men who 'deserve' them. Then they sit and let men do the work for them, right?

I'm happily married with three daughters. I stay happily married because I do my share, expect my wife to do hers, and decline to be a doormat for anyone. Among my circle of friends, I do not have anybody who dumped his wife in order to get a "newer model", but have several whose wives dumped them in order to move on to a bigger, better, deal

I've looked at your comments on other threads. The only threads you seems to have any interest in participating in are the ones where you can vent your anger and unhappiness at men, and complain about how badly you were treated by your ex-husband in your own failed marriage (eg, your posts #137, #258, and #259 in Young men are running from marriage )

Come up to the present. I am not your ex-husband. Nobody else here is your ex-husband either. It's time to resume your life and move on. I realize (as you mention in #259 above) that good men may be hard to find -- but you will never find one as long as you have that enormous chip on your shoulder -- the one that whacks any nearby guy across the face every time you turn around

You seem to have a real axe to grind here (men who don’t like women shouldn’t be allowed to speak). Nice tolerance level for descent. For the record, I am happily married, male chauvinist pig, my wife likes me that way and I care way more about her opinion of my behavior that I do about your opinion on anything. That said, you don’t get the point (yes I’ve Seen this in action).

If you diminish society enough, it “falls over” (Nick’s wording). Forget the feminist agenda (you don’t like me, boo-hoo, or you’re a baaaad man) they won’t work here. Try addressing the actual premise that if you take away what a man works for he stops working.

So, tell us why a man who has lost everything he cares about would continue to work?
