What you are failing to see is that this is not victimology - it's sociology. Nick is not whining about his lot in life - he's not even making it personal or anecdotal.

What he is saying, better than the author I should add, is that men are better men when they have something to work for. And that thing which motivates their work, primarily, is their progeny. But when society, through burdensome taxation and feminized family courts, routinely strip men not only of their progeny but also the wealth they obtain from their hard work, men will cease behaving in ways that benefit society.

I've seen it in my life many times - give a man a feeling of self-worth and he'll take charge and produce remarkable things. Remove his sense of self-worth and he will stop caring about what happens. Eventually, the women will seize control, complain about how worthless the men are, and produce something inferior to what the men would have done.

Women, on the other hand, have had centuries of experience learning how to manipulate the system without doing the work - they could browbeat the men into doing their bidding so long as they left the facade that the men were still in control. Today's women (encouraged by feminism) are tearing down the facade. They want to rule. They want to control the boardroom, the bedroom and the government and they want there to be no question as to who is running the show.

It's their fatal mistake. Because, as they strip away the things men strive for, they erode the very foundations that built the boardroom, bedroom and government. What will they replace it with when the men will no longer do the work? That might be where society take us in the next generation or two.
