What right is it that would be overridden by teaching creationism alongside evolution? Name it. The "right to not be offended" maybe? I'm familiar with that one - that is the one that denies a valedictorian the right to mention the name Jesus Christ because it offended on single person (tyranny of the lone protestor). City councils act on majority votes all the time as is consistent with "representative democracy". If my city council votes to include creationism, how is that synonymous with mob rule?

How about Voodoo, pyramid power, psychic phenomena, UFOlogy, grapefruit dieting? When creationism has an active research program that publishes real information, then it can be taught as science. Until then, it will remain at the fringe with polywater, cold fusion and other "scientific" rubbish that sounds good but doesn't pan out.

No. How about the right to be taught right? Everyone has a right to be as stupid as they want to be, but it's simply not fair to not give them a chance not to be.
