Worse things are said on the more controversial threads on FR. Calling people Nazis, racists, pedophiles, etc is a common occurrence on this forum. I don't condone it, but I understand when someone stoops to it.

It's going to happen on highly contentious issues. I've been flamed a bunch for stating a fairly reasoned opinion without attacking anyone, simply because people disagreed with my take.

I only returned the favor to ALS because I believed he deserved it. I would not have said anything similar to you or the other "opponents" on this thread.

I could make the argument that both sides on this thread have flamed calm posters simply because they fell on the other side. Is it right? No. Is my post an example of Paradise gone bad? Not really.
