I ran into a brick wall. Finding monetary contribution information was fairly straight forward, and I thought the White House faith-based office might be helpful, but it became apparent the only information they would have would concern participants.
It occurred to me that anything I found would be lacking because the day-to-day charitable things people do are often not recorded anywhere. As an example, for years my brother visited girls in a local prison and then helped them when they got out to find jobs through his personnel placement company, move, get transportation, etc. He didn't do that under any denomination's umbrella. It was his personal Christian mission and thus would not be counted in any database.
So can we just call the challenge a draw? People of good conscience, regardless of their denomination, will try to help people in need.
