You are admitting, though, that we inherit and therefore start out with some things - whether it be knowledge, or inclinations, desires, or whatever - that predisposes us towards approaching things in certain ways, at least initially? Sure. If a thing happens the same way nine times in a row, we expect it to happen the same way the tenth time. We notice that people who come into contact with people infected with the plague also get the plague. We realize that some plants we eat make us sick. Over a period of time we realize that we can some up with some pretty good explanations for stuff that we might previously have attributed to bad luck or the supernatural. That's, if you like, naturalism. The most religious person in America today is far more naturalistic in his general approach to life than the average person three centuries ago.
Science is no more than an extension of the ordinary inductions and deductions we make every day of our lives. It has no more philosophical basis than those everyday logical processes.

Then there are the flame wars and discussions of Biblical translations, which I scan briefly for something interesting. I enjoy the Biblical discussions. Most folks are normally too afraid to comment on their understanding of the Biblical versus because of the ensuing shouting.
It would be good if we could get more info on the writings of the early fathers of the Church. It's difficult to find english translations.

This is why researchers rely on peer review. Because results must be reproduceable by other researchers, this process has a tendency to iron out any personal biases that may have creeped in. It ain't perfect, but it's darn close.
I see. But is it possible, in your opinion, that the researcher could share with all of his or her peers a bias that is in error and that, instead of being spotted and ironed out, ends up being pushed blindly?

JR ...
I can't see any difference between your posts and the screaming Democrats I've been watching on the TV shouting matches. Have you officially joined the Democrat Party? Are you on the Democrat talking point mailing list?

JR ...
And why are you pushing the Democrat talking points? A large part of this forum sounds exactly like a Democrat echo chamber. Hint: you're one of them.

So true, so true. Free Republic specifically does not welcome those who would verbally assault our country in a time of war.

Knowledge? Knowledge? Do sperm and egg hold that knowledge? And, if not, when is that "knowledge" imbued into a new human?
I take it that you're not a theist, then.

circle peer jerk review placemaker !This should've been, "circle jerk peer review placemarker". ;)
But seriously, I'm wondering what you thought of the Biblical discussion? Is Christ primary in creation rather than the Father? I think scripter posted the relevant chapter and verse. I just got circled and shot out of the sky and my parachute hasn't opened.
I didn't attend Catholic Church so the Trinity always seemed to have more in common with the Hindu Trimurti.
