are you kidding???? Punctuated equilibrium is a big part of "evolution" theory, at least it was the last time I heard.
Punctuated equlibrium is a hypothesis on the means by which evolution occured. It is not a fundamental aspect, and it is not even a universally held belief amongst those who accept evolution (I'm not even sure that it is all that popular). You might want to start getting your information as to what is a 'big part' of evolution theory from sources other than creationist literature.

If that is so, then perhaps they should eliminate Punc. E. from the high school textbooks. Hence the purpose for warning lables.
