Lincolnspeak. They took up arms against Lincoln.

I will give you credit for your admittance that Lincoln prosecuted the war for political reasons (i.e. your repeated assertion that he did it to 'further Republican ideals'). I do find it disturbing that you continue to act as cheerleader in light of such an admission.

Curious how you'd feel if Clinton killed pro-lifers, or NRA members, for that matter.

President Lincoln's following his oath "to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States" is indeed a politiccal reason, and every patriot who fought for the United States Government during the Civil War did so for political reasons.
