1. Please forgive if this is an insult to either you or Fred Mertz, but since you both have written pretty amusing posts (at least I find them worth a few LOLs, ack! Maybe you both write in all seriousness with no tongue in cheek... and by the way, what was all that about... oh never mind, I don't wanna hear...) are you and Fred Mertz one and the same person?
2. In a few threads I responded to Fred Mertz trying to be funny, since I assumed that Fred Mertz had written a hugh wisecrack. I never heard back. What if I was wrong? What if Fred Mertz was writing in a seriess mode? How could I express an apology to him, without making the situation worse?
3. How does one recognize a humorous post from anyone here? Sometimes I fear that what I find hysterically funny, others may not find amusing at all.
4. Recently I read allegations of trolls here in FR. Unfortunately I learned about trolls the hard way when I had the misfortune of running smack into their little traps on other internet sites.
Many times I nearly fell off their Billy Goat Gruff bridges into their slimey arguments and uproar threads. Sometimes other posters would privately clue me in as to the identity of these gnarly creatures. Other times I simply guessed.
Is there a committee of FR Citizens here where I could put in a request for a "heads up Troll alert," should I inadvertently stumble into a troll thread?
5. Sometimes I wonder if folks who've been here a long time harbor suspicions about newcomers having possible troll heritage.
I've been holding back a bit, partly out of shyness and partly because I don't want to get flamed, and partly because I would hate to put so much effort into my writing, only to have it pulled, or worse get my newbie self banned.
Do you have suggestions for newcomers to assuage potential FR troll suspicions?
