Based on the abuse record for this thread, I don't see any moderator action listed, which probably means Jim took it out himself (not 100% certain there, but generally that is what it means).
And reading that post, I am pretty sure it was a single, solitary word that got the post pulled. I bet if you look at your self-search (where you can still see the reply) you'll be able to see which word, even if you weren't meaning to use it to impugn blacks.

Huck Finn was not written to impugn Blacks either (quite the opposite), but one could selectively quote certain passages to make the author appear Racist. Jim wants to avoid that potential problem on FR and that makes sense to me.
