I am sickened by all of the comments of glee on this board. It really embarrases me when I defend Free Republic to people who claim it is full of "right-wing-guncrazy-bloodthirsty-uncaring-nutters".
What really sickens me is that people are blaming her parents for not "teaching her right".
I guess all the parents on this thread have never had a child that drove a vehicle over the legal intoxication limit....or their child never rode with a legally-intoxicated friend behind the wheel. Or any other sort of stupid, dangerous behaviour.
I'm so glad that FR is full of perfect parents with perfect children.

Those parents share in the complicity. They paid for the school she went to. And like others have pointed out, they probably paid for her transportation and living expenses over there. When it comes right down to it, every nut like this - when the truth is know - is proven to have not fallen far from the parental tree.
Sure, not all kids (or parents) are perfect, but that's a whole different ball game than what this girl has been doing for a long time now. She just finally got "caught", that's all - and paid the extreme penalty.

I'm so glad that FR is full of perfect parents with perfect children. My kids aren't perfect but they're not so bad that I'm going to pay for a little trip to the Mid-East right now for them and suggest they become human shields. Actually it's doubtful my kids will ever have much time for protesting against their country ---they'll be working their way through college, learning that money doesn't grow on trees.
