I do not take pleasure from this young lady’s death. But I wonder what she was trying to accomplish, by not moving. Common sense says get out of the way, if the bulldozer is not stopping. It’s a senseless death. She made stood in front of that bulldozer of her own volition!

I don't think she was trying to get herself killed. Note that the story does not actually say she was hit by the bulldozer, but by the sand pushed by the bulldozer. think she got too close, tripped or something, and got buried.

Unfortunately, I do think Scott from the Left Coast is right, that she will be lionized as a martyr by many in my home town of Olympia. Olympia is one of the most liberal cities in a liberal state. And Evergreen is probably the most liberal part of Olympia.

I have a feeling her friends actually are taking pleasure in her death and will try to use it for their own political gain. What did they accomplish by allowing their bimbo friend to run out in front of a bulldozer? Why didn't at least one try to hold her back or to save her from being run over the second time? They needed a martyr for their cause?

Who knows, some deluded idea of helping, what she perceived to be, oppressed people. Maby she thought she was doing what the guy at Tiananmen Square who stopped the tanks was doing. She was too young to remember it but some professor or other person who influenced her could have shown it to her. Clearly it was a stupid thing to do.

My comments were directed more at the people who seem to take pleasure in her death. Unfortunately there do appear to be some. Hopefully they are posting in the heat of anger or frustration and do not really feel this way.
