Please point out in any of my posts where I defended her. My point, and I'll attempt to see if it penetrates again, is that there is something distasteful with any post rejoicing her death. And seeing such posts here don't elevate this site in my opinion. I just told another relative that they need to start coming here. I have done the same thing with a lot of other people. I'd prefer that they did not visit and think that people here rejoice in the death people like this dumb kid.
You ask me "what if" this and "what if" that and then again bring up this "defending her" nonsense. Why do you ask me those questions? They are absurd. Which is absurd as saying, as you did, "Life is nothing but a bunch of decisions and actions that have rewards and consequences". With all due respect, life is much more than that.
If you think there is something joyful/funny in the death of this kid then I really wonder if all your gears are meshing.
And the meanies at Free Republic didn't have a thing to do with it.
I will submit that nobody is actually laughing or taking joy is the death of this girl. There is a bit of gallows humor in laughing at the stupidity of the enemy, but that is quite apart from actually laughing at the horrible death itself.
It is a laughably stupid position that she put herself in. It is precisely the tragic nature of this pointless death that makes this story a story. If you can't see the difference then I suggest you find another thread until this blows over.
I think maybe there is a certain rightful satisfaction when radical leftists enabling a culture and philosophy of death are brought face to face with the consequences thereof. Usually it's the little brown people who have to suffer the consequences of their feckless enthusiasms.
