ROFL!! I hope you're aware of the fact that you just made it to the top of this Creator's shitlist. Now prepare to be held over the fiery pits of hell you loathsome insect. BWAAAHAHAHAAAA!!!
Now, seriously, if this Creator exists and he is just as the_doc describes him, I can't imagine that someone would choose to spend eternity in his presence. If I had a choice I'd go to the Gulag voluntarily.

If I had a choice I'd go to the Gulag voluntarily. I'm not worried about meeting the Creator. I'm looking forward to it. What really scares me is finding myself in a heaven filled with people like the_doc. But it can't happen. If that's really heaven, I certainly won't get there. It sounds more like my idea of hell. And if the_doc is down there, I won't be. So it's a win-win situation.

We Calvinist actually do maintain that you are doing exactly what you said: I'd go to the Gulag voluntarily.
The ironic thing here, besides the obviousness of Creation which you fail to grasp, is that God the Father did not spare His Son, but killed Him by laying the fullness of His wrath upon Him. For those of us who are redeemed this is incredibly sobering. We understand the goodness and severity of God, the expressiveness of His love toward us in the very wrath He executed on His only Son. We also understand that, as He did not spare His own son, the penalty upon all of those who go to their graves actually despising Him will be quite intense. That same measure of wrath poured out on the Son will be given to those who hate Him. It should have you trembling in fear just like the demons of Hell.
Of course, the good news is, since He did not spare for the saints, why not you? You too can submit to your creator and enjoy this goodness of God.
Woody.
P.S. I notice nobody has mentioned irreducibly complex systems yet. Back to lurk mode.
