If there is such a thing as historical science, and I think there is, it seeks to answer questions of the form, "What happened?", or " What cause this event, etc. to arise?". There are several such sciences, including: astronomy, geology, anthropology, paleontology, climatology, archaeology, criminology, and cosmology. And of course, evolution.
