Just in case you missed what I was talking about...
Post 174:
Have you ever read the Communist Manifesto on the subject of Education? If not, do so. Then read the policy of the DOE, and the No Child Left Behind that Pres. Bush supported. After you do so, please come back and tell us how Pres. Bush is 1) a conservative 2) not a communist(or at least acting as one) and last but not least, not acting in an illegal manner against the Law of the Land.. aka the Constitution and the Bill of Rights... Thank You
p.s. In case II.. You may wish to read the book "Saddam Hussein by Efraim Karsh & Inari Rautsi" to see who was in bed with him way before Rep. Ron Paul righty points out that their plans didn't work. (I'll give you one hint..one's nickname is Rummy)
p.s. In case III... This same man above, give many of the Bio Weapons (via the US taxpayer) and manner to make them to Hussein. So again we find ourself's looking down at our own weapons, being used by a former so-called friend.

Sorry to disappoint but I don't go to the Day in the Life thread very often.
Did you to read my comment after I was told he only ran once as a Libertarian and the rest of the time as a Republican? That was not the impression I was left with on here (Libertarian all the way except when he ran for office) and thanked the Freeper for pointing out the difference.
Gave me a new perspective on Ron Paul!

You don't like my disagreement with you about Ron Paul? Then why don't you make your case instead of running to the monitor?

Did you to read my comment No, I didn't...the thread was just too long. I did go back and find it, though.
Fair enough. My honest apologies.

(Yes, it is pretty bold talk......)

I must repectfully disagree with the Honorable Mr. Paul on the Iraq issue.
Having said that though, he's still liberty's best friend in Congress. He's the only member that attacks pork and votes against it. He proposes year after year to withdraw out of the UN, end the income tax and return government to its Constitutional spending limits, he's the only member of Congress (other than Tom Tancredo) who actually follows the Constitution when voting on bills. I would like to have many more Ron Pauls to return America back to its Constitutional roots.
Despite Mr. Paul's vote on Iraq, he's still one of my favorite Congressmen.

vAt the time of the framing of the constitution there existed marijuana, coca, heroin, peyote, opium and probably others. The extended use of any of these was considered morally reprehensible. Many writings exist to this day to suport this concept.
The abuse of any such substance is still considered morally reprehensible.
And the abuse of our constitution to prohibit them is considered even more morally reprehensible, by those who pledged to honor & defend it.
Considering the fundamentalist christian viewpoint of the founders, I submit, that had they known to what extent the impact of these substances would have on our sociaty in terms of crime, the funding of such hostile rogue elements as the muslims, etc. that the founders would have, if anything, opted for prohibition of same, not legalization.
Once upon a time, the American Founders believed in the importance of having a "fundamental law" superior to the rulers and ruled alike. The Founders intended the Constitution to be such a fundamental law, and designed it to be both easy to interpret and difficult to change.
It is easy to see that there is no 'power to prohibit' in it. The 18th was used to prohibit booze, and rejected.
-- Those who find 'penumbras' in it to prohibit certain types of guns, certain drugs, certain other aspects of life, liberty, property, -- are simply dishonorable men.
___________CRICKETS_____________
Heres the problem 'ex'. -- You want the freedom to call others "morally reprehensible", - then you also want the freedom to run off without hearing the retorts of those you offend.
Grow up, and learn to live with the consequences of your actions.

....Oh, that's right--let's drop economic sanctions against Iran, Iraq, Libya and Cuba. Because he doesn't want any economic sanctions against any country, given Paul's foreign policy, North Koreans can wash down their steaming bowl of grass soup with a frosty Coca Cola. Yup, that's the ticket.

But unlike the leadership of the GOP, those persons do not claim to be a conservative. And Rep. Paul's voting record clearly shows he is. I wonder what Pres. Bush's record on the issues is.. Oh.. that's right.. He's expanding the Federal Governemnt at three times the rate Clinton did... No Thanks..

BTW.. You haven't let us know if you aprove of Sec of Def Rummy giving this asshole the weapons that our boys are going to have to face in this war...
p.s. In case III... This same man above, give many of the Bio Weapons (via the US taxpayer) and manner to make them to Hussein. So again we find ourself's looking down at our own weapons, being used by a former so-called friend.

Would you care to show me proof that Sanctions work? As the last time I looked Castro was still in Cuba and Hussein was still in Iraq..
To: Catspaw
BTW 2.. I seem to remember many upon many on this board attacking Pat Buchanan when he spoke out against trade with China. Stating that the only way to open up China was to trade with them. aka importing our freedoms thur the pocketbook... why was it all right on that issue but not when it is used by someone else..?
To: Zviadist
You sound like an SF Homo to me... oh please, mr. moderator help me, I can't take care of myself... Oh poor me... I see you are practicing your English again.
To: Refinersfire
It hilarious to watch Pat Buchanan and Bill Press on MSNBC (at least the one time I watched them). They're in perfect agreement about Iraq--as is Chris Matthews and Phil Donahue.

Oh, it's okay. I know that adoring repressive dictators like Saddam and Castro is right up Ron Paul's alley. Perhaps someday he'll be invited to Cuba as Castro's invited guest--and it's really too bad he missed the trip to Iraq McDermott, Bonier and Thompson took. He'd fit right in.

No problem! I do that myself -- reply to someone and then find out later they had said something else.
Was just glad that someone corrected me!
