A dozen? A dozen? At first I thought this article was from the Onion, but then I realized that a dozen people is a lot to the LP.

What a bunch of loonies! One of the legitimate obligations of the government is to protect us from enemies who would do us harm. I guess bio and chem weapons held by a nutjob aren't enough for you?
By the way, I was REPULSED by the peace ad. Sarandon was speaking with a background of one of our American military cemeteries in Europe (the distinctive white, cross-shaped, marble monuments). Seeing those freaks use the images of our dead heroes to promote their anti-American propaganda incensed me!

I'm glad you explained the grave markers to him - a Losertarian wouldn't know anything about the bravery and valor of those who FOUGHT to keep us free.

LOL....The hide-our-head-in-the-sand party finally comes out of the closet! I wonder what it must feel like to rub shoulders with the likes of A.N.S.W.E.R. and other commie orgs.
Oh, btw, 77% of America wants Saddam's head on a pike. Deal with it, because it's going to happen.

As my son-in-law heads to the Middle East on the USS ROOSEVELT, he knows that he is defending the commie scum, the Hollywood elite, the leftist bastards, and the jackass Libertarians. The libertarian position is that individual Americans ought not be forced to support wars they do not wish to participate in, and people who think otherwise are the jackasses. Your son-in-law volunteered to fight as ordered by the U.S. Government, so Americans who object to socialist warfare are certainly not responsible for his fate and owe him no debt for his services.
Personally, I am in favor of arresting and executing Sadam Hussein for what he did to the Kawaitis, but that should have been done during the Bush I administration and Kuwait should have been required to pay for the services of the American military before the U.S. intervened, since the Kuwaitis could certainly afford to do so. I don't blame Bush II for wanting to clean up his father's mess, and I think he's taken a pretty decent approach to doing so, but it's not reasonable for you or anyone else to expect Americans who objected to the approach taken by Bush I with respect to Iraq (including the green light his ambassador gave to Sadam) to pay for the mop-up project.

Wow! 12 Libertarians? A whole dozen?!
Well... That certainly allows one to clearly divine what all the others think.
So if there was one FReeper there, does that mean that all FReepers are opposed to the war?

News flash for you bucko! Myself and my fellow soldiers are gonna put Saddams head on a spike because we have been ordered to go to combat to stop him. Oh, and no one twisted our arm to make us do that either. The U.S. military is an all VOLUNTEER force. We're gonna do our job because we want to.

You will be glad to know that a number of people at the ANSWER rally demanded that our government be disolved so that freedom could reign. I couldn't remember where I'd heard that before, but it's coming back to me.
I believe that FReepers represent the true majority in America. They can only get about 5000 or less people in DC. The Answer people can get upwards of a couple hundred thousand people. I'd hardly classify that as a tail my friend. It's a serious showing of people. And although it's not going to turn some heads, I can guarantee you it will turn heads of people who follow the entertainment industry faithfully. Many of their idols are in lock step with ANSWER, whether they know it or not.
I'll be darned if I'd turn down a chance to have 200,000 plus of our folks on the mall. If we had them there, it would be a rather hollow statement to claim they were simply the tail trying to wag the dog.

"....including the green light his ambassador gave to Sadam....."
There was no "greenlight" given to Iraq by the U.S. to take over Kuwait. We were asked what our opinion was on the dispute between Iraq and Kuwait over alleged monies owed for the sale of oil between the two countries. Our ambassador told Mr. Aziz that we oficially had "no opinion" on the dispute. It was Saddam who was stupid enough to take that as a "green light" to attack instead of taking the matter to the Arab League. And thus it wat the brutish thuggish actions of Saddam Hussein that drug us into the dispute. But then I guess taking the time to actually find out the truth would take away from your time on the water pipe huh?

Gee, isn't it nice to be able to live in a country that allows folks to pick and choose the conflicts they want to support?
And you're dead wrong. Bush II isn't cleaning up Bush I's mess. He's cleaning up Clinton and the UN's mess.
It's just too bad the cowards and traitors who demonstrate against this country, won't ever have to see the horrors they make possible. But then maybe some please-loving muslim will fly a jumbo jet into their safe, secure little lives and send them crashing to the pavement in flames. We can hope.

I've got something better than the gory pics for them to see. I'll show the anti-America crowd the video I have of soldiers, FRIENDS of mine saying hi to their wives or that did interviews with me, that are no longer here because all they did was go to try and help a nation keep itself from starving to death. And paid for their generosity with their lives because of Clinton and the U.N. That little place was called Somalia.

Good idea...not that they'd care. You know, they're those "principled conservatives" you hear about. So principled, they march with the people who would destroy us.

Well I'm going to paraphrase something I heard the commander of an Aircraft Carrier battle group say the other day "I'm out here doing this because I'm not gonna let anyone come to my country and tell my kids how to live their lives! I'll be DEAD before that happens!" Couldn't put it any better myself.

We're gonna do our job because we want to. Good for you, but don't expect me to pay your salary. I think the Kuwatis should do it.

Are you saying that such veteran groups are cowards and traitors?
These are men who've seen war, not like the fresh cannon fodder who are gung-ho and high morale, but know little of actual war.
Many real patriots oppose war.
