September 11 was a beautiful, sunny fall morning in SW Pa. Alot of people were outside, there are way too many consistent anecdotal stories to discount. One that comes to the forefront, for me, was that office buildings in downtown Pittsburgh were being evacuated (because of the plane being lost over Cleveland airspace and heading south towards Pittsburgh. It was obviously being tracked (to some degree). They avoided civilian targets in Cleveland and Pittsburgh) but the theory (locally) was that they were following the course of the PA Turnpike to head south to DC (which explains the crash in the Somerset area).
