It's just that druggies enjoy being high, and don't believe them. What's intrinsically wrong with being "high", euphoric or having an alterered state of consciousness? God says not to? Where does He say that?

And how do you reconcile that with the Penatcosts, who experience "The Rapture", where they enter an altered state of mind, speak in tongues, handle poisonous snakes and drink rat poison - in the name of God.

Well -and I'm a pro-legalizer- it's not so much that specifically drug abuse is addressed in the Bible, but it's sinful to do things that damage your body. Having a drink is OK, but being a drunkard is not. Same would go for drugs.
