Forced busing do not go over very well in Boston in the early 1970's. But I don't blame working class folk for rioting when the Federal government tries to destroy neighborhood schools.
By the way, did Teddy Kennedy send his kids to any of those public schools ?

I'm sure he didn't but, I'm sure that the busing of poor white kids to schools in black neighborhoods created a windfall for the parochial schools and a few photo-ops to prove how racist and intolerant Bostonians - especially South Bostonians (read Boston Irish) - are.
