The entire western civilized world has one problem in common!
As I study the immigration problem, I try to stand back from it, and view it on a macro level. In doing this, I find some connected issues.
The western white European world, as a group, is growing old. We are not replacing our numbers at a rate that will fund our social programs the the aging population is entitled to by law.
The third world population, is on the other hand, burgeoning with young. They are busting at the seams.
In the view of some, this fact makes immigration a necessity and critical to the future of our society.
The problems on our southern border are related to this. Mexico has a pressure problem, and it bleeds that pressure off in our direction.
The primary problem with this is that we cannot absorb and adjust to this invasion. We cannot continue to take millions of un-educated and un-healthy migrants at the rate we now are. We must be able to screen these people and absorb them at a rate that does not create chaos.
I am sure, that if we put aside petty argument in favor of cogent and factual dialog, we can come to a understanding and some new immigration laws that will benefit those on all sides of this issue.
It must be done.
