More straw Chief?
Of course they're not all evil. No one with any sense maintains that they are.
What can reasonably be said, however, is that massive, uncontrolled migration from countries such as Mexico is not a good thing - and its negative impact upon schools is just one of the more well-established signs that it isn't.
I'm sorry if dealing with issues isn't as much fun as clapping ones hands like a seal for some rose-colored-glasses article or for Dubya's pander amnesties - or as fun as sneering at the "upstart" Congressman.
Sure, the Vietnamese are responsible for our storm drain problems...we never had them before they were here.

Do yourself a favor, don't interject the word sense into a thread where you and your friends find it impossible to accept that the Hispanics have had a positive impact on their community in Indianapolis...remember that one minor nagging detail, this thread is about Indianapolis.

Did I mention that this thread is about Indianapolis? Oh right, we don't want to discuss that, we need to turn this into another Mexican immigrants bashing thread. However, if you do take the time to examine Irish immigration, particularly during the famine years, you will find that is was massive and unrestricted (which served the same purpose as uncontrolled). Guess what, the very same arguments were made about those third world Irish.
