"Shop after shop, sign after sign in Spanish." (WISH-TV8)
This is what illegal immigration is all about - colonization. These people are not here to become Americans - and as such cannot be analogized to any prior group of immigrants to the U.S. They live in the U.S. only physically; psychologically, they still live in Mexico - watching Mexican TV on satellite, watching Mexican soccer leagues rather than the NFL dubbed in Spanish, watching videocassette Mexican movies instead of ours dubbed in Spanish.

I am eating some delicious tortilla chips I just bought at a Mexican grocery store on East New York Street in Indianapolis. I like most of the Mexican grocery stores I've been in. The one at Sherman and Washington is just as cheap as the Marsh next door and has a good selection. I'm not the only non-Mexican who shops there. The last time I shopped there, the checkout clerk was a black girl. I would rather see a thriving business than another closed-up store on Indy's east side.

You think that's bad? I hear they are opening up an American consulate in LA.

I have only contempt for someone who would write such pro-Mexican crud. My country is America, not Mexico.

Hello, and welcome to "Big Mexico!"
What the heck? Shouldn't there be a limit to how many of them we allow to enter then multiply?
And while we're at it, let's take down every sign that isn't written in English. "You come to our country, YOU ADAPT/EDUCATE YOURSELVES/EVOLVE!!!"

Brewster, Washington looks like tiajuana. Crime and drug problems have increased in Okanogan and Chelan counties. Please don't relate the 2.

The Mexican Consulate will serve three states: Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. It will serve as the Mexican government's primary link with those states on issues such as immigration, trade and economic development. Don't be surprised when the Mexican Consul-General there starts sending letters to the Op-Ed section of your local newspapers pushing amesty for illegals. The one we have here does it all the time with the same tired myths about how they "are just hardworking people coming here for a better life and they do jobs Americans won't do."

Mexicans make great Americans. They are not here to convert us to some other form of govt or religion. They are here to participate in what we are. Simply stated, there is not a better ally in the world than a Mexican become American. They are a friendly loving devoted and loyal people. What's the problem? I say we need them...served with them...and know their loyalty.
