Herein lies the problem. You expect candidates to win without voting for them.
I watched Ross Perot give us Clinton.
What evidence do you have that Perot voters would've voted for Bush? For all you know most of the Perot voters might've been former non-voters.
...when is the last time you saw a Democrat sponsor a meaningful tax cut?
When is the last time you saw Republicans reduce government?
Or conceled carry legislation?
When is the last time you saw Republicans repeal any gun-control?
Or a tough bill that would mean punnishment for violent criminals?
I've watched Republicans enact laws that punish people for not committing any crimes at all.
In Tennessee, Republican governor Don Sundquist ran for office on a campaign of no state income tax (Tenn is one of about 6 states without an income tax). After elected he failed to use his veto to reign in wasteful government spending and ran up an $800 million deficit. Then he tried to get a state income tax passed. He failed to get an income tax but succeeded in raising the sales tax. Some counties in Tennessee now enjoy a 10% sales tax.
Bush Sr. said, "Read my lips. No new taxes." You know what happened after that.
Republicans controlled both Houses of Congress from 1995 through 2001. The federal budget grew from $1.4 trillion to $2.1 trillion during that time.
Republicans controlled both Houses of Congress and the WH for most of 2001, until that one Republican senator defected to the Democrats (so he wouldn't have to pretend he supported limited government anymore). Republicans could've repealed the estate tax but instead decided to phase it out over 10 years. No gun-control was repealed.
Senator Phil Graham from Texas said on national TV that Social Security would be phased out in 65 years under the Republican plan.
I have reviewed your website and I notice there are no links to any sites which include instruction in Logic or Reasoning.
At your earliest convenience could you point me to some sites which might instruct me in these topics?
Many thanks.
