Republican candidate Michael Cloud would have gotten 40% of the vote for his party affiliation alone. THAT candidate, with the right campaign would have HAD achance to beat Kerry. Not likely in that particular state.

Get more than 10% of the vote in a national election, and I'll sign up.Now there's a self-fulfilling prophecy if I ever heard one.

Please do not make assumptions about me supporting moderates. This is what I said specifically: "You work against that goal [educating the electorate] by voting for RINO's...." So was I mistaken in saying that you wouldn't vote for a RINO? If so, then I have indeed misunderstood you.
So there's an election, and the candidates before you are a Democrat and a RINO - both well publicized by the media - and a good solid conservative third-party candidate. Whom do you vote for?

Trivia Question: We have three libertarian senators--who are they? Answer: Liberal Democrats Reid, Cantwell, and Johnson.
Good point.

A: You're probably correct about Massachusetts, but the point is relavent in a normal state.
B: If the only guy that has a REAL chance to beat the Democrat is a RINO, I hold my nose and vote for him. A little socialism is better that a lot of socialism anyday.
The REAL solution to your quandry is to elect a real conservative in the primary. Also, if you live in an area dominated by socialists, a RINO ain't such a bad thing.

Do you really hit the Bong THIS early in the am? Why are you asking, can't find yours?

What's the excuse then? Don't worry about it. They WILL come up with a excuse. There is no limit to the amount of tapdancing Bush-Bots will do to keep themselves from having to face the truth.

Libertarians often hand elections to the Democrats, by taking away conservative leaning votes. You idiot! It's the mf-ing liberal voters and the cheating that hands elections to the RATS!
It is well past time for Libertarians and Republicans to get together to defeat the common enemy.
I agree wholeheartedly. But when do you think the Republican "Leadership" will get with the program and stop acting like the Rats?

So I haven't made any false assumptions about you after all. The point I raised in 210 is thus still valid: If you elect RINO's to power, you make it more difficult to educate people away from liberalist errors. I liked better what you said earlier, "Our primary job is NOT electing people, it's EDUCATING people." You really should take it to heart.

A Losertarian HANDED the Senate seat to Johnson in SD.You idiot! It was the liberal voters that handed the Senate seat to a Rat! And you need to work on your spelling. Libertarian is a phonetically simple word. You should have been able to sound it out.

It IS difficult educating people with RINO's in power, but not as difficult as doing it with Dims in power.

I could never figure out why, if Libertarians were good electable candidates, why they haven't they run as Republicans. Maybe then they could get into office and do some good. I actually believe in many of their ideas. I don't however, believe in splitting the vote to let a Democrat get into office. We need to get rid of the Democrats now....bury them....we need every last man for this fight! Ollie North would have won years ago, here in Virginia, but that a third party candidate watered down his vote.

Which salutation do you find most engaging, "you stupid idiot" or the more informal "you idiot"?
To: Republic of Texas
I tend to disagree. As I said, RINO's validate the Dim position, making it look more respectable. Just compare how FR was when Clinton was in power, vs. how it is with Bush. Conservatives are more focused and effective against Democrats than against RINO's. And if there's a district where the a Democrat wins, but the majority's vote was split between the RINO and the conservative, the task of educating the people will be that much easier, than if all the conservatives in the district had simply thrown in the towel and voted RINO.

Some people want to talk and run for office, some want to win.

...and some want to educate people. But I thought you knew that already.
