Bush, whether you like it or not, mostly not, has to be trusted right now. What other choice is there? Harry wields no power, while Bush is trying to preserve the security of this country, and several other smaller nations, from the barbarians. You think I SHOULDN'T trust him now? So until that day when Harry takes the oath of office, I will continue to disregard his musings.

I wish some of the libertarians would accept this fact of why Bush has our support.War time requires it.Things like solidarity, committment, sacrifice, take precedence over my pet issues, and hey, when your guy pulls less than 0.4% of the vote, anything a Libertarian advocates is a pet issue.None of it resonates with the broad electorate.

What concerns me more is why a libertarian, in these times, would seek to question the motives of the POTUS? Why is a libertarian alinged against his CIC in a time of War?

Bush, whether you like it or not, mostly not, has to be trusted right now.

Bushbots never seem to get the message. He does not have to be trusted. No politician should be trusted. It is the duty of the citizen to guard and protect Constitutional rights from those who wield power.

I voted for GWB. I will vote for him come next election. He is the best that the Republicans can offer. He is infinitely superior to any possible Democrat offering. He is, simply put, the lesser of two evils.

People who are knowledgeable in Constitutional matters know that both parties are hell-bent on the destruction of the Bill of Rights. Nobody, with the exception of those like Harry Browne, are making any effort whatsoever to preserve Constitutional rule. If you had read the Founding Documents, you would be as alarmed as I. Alas, you are but another sheep.

The US endured the Cold War, a period of time when the major powers sat with their fingers of the button of nuclear annihilation, without the panic caused by a single low-yield attack of "911". Now a fairly insignificant event has caused Americans to line up to exchange their blood-won freedoms for security ... the type of security that plays out in American airports.

This Republic is being systematically "put to sleep" by cowards who won't even read the material upon which the Nation is founded.

No politician should be trusted. We should support Bush. We should follow his lead in as much as his lead does not result in the deformation of our way of life that is based on Constitutional rule. Bush must be made aware that he must lead in a manner that ensures continued Constitutional rule ... with all of the Rights fully intact. It is possible to meet the challenges of today with the Bill of Rights fully intact. It worked well through times of greater adversity.

Help me out here. Will two wars (the War on Terror and Iraq War II) make us twice as obligated to give mindless, voiceless obedience to GWB?

Bush, whether you like it or not, mostly not, has to be trusted right now.

GWB actions need to be scrutinized and criticized because they make us less safe, not more so. Further foreign interventionism (militarily, financial, or otherwise) will not make us safer. It will incite further hatred of the US and likely incite additional acts of terrorism.

Bush is trying to preserve the security of this country, and several other smaller nations, from the barbarians.

He's doing no such thing. He just authorized the sale of aircraft parts and radar technology to Pakistan plus $80 million in foreign-aid, and $120 million in foreign-aid to Uzbekistan. Both countries are known to harbor terrorists.

I wish some of the libertarians would accept this fact of why Bush has our support.War time requires it.

It's obvious that he has your support. He's your guy, afterall. And that's the only reason. If Clinton were in office you'd be ripping him a new one every day and we both know it.

What concerns me more is why a libertarian, in these times, would seek to question the motives of the POTUS? Why is a libertarian alinged against his CIC in a time of War?

It would seem you neglected to read the article because the answer to your question is there.

Your persistent reference to "time of war" is a weak attempt to stifle any rational discourse. Don't like what's being said? Just keep saying we're at war. Can't refute the facts? Question the sincerity of your opponent. Pathetic.
