That is much more than simply wanting the President to honor the Constitution.

Where have I advocated anything other than that they should be working WITHIN the bounds laid forth in the Constitution? Sure, some people may not WANT to face up to the facts of why what happened, happened. That's not my problem (directly, anyway). If our Country is to be at 'war' with ANYONE, I want it to be done according to the guidelines set forth in our Founding documents. So far, this hasn't been done and everyone in DC, with a notable couple of exceptions, is perfoming an end-run around the US Constitution that they SWORE to defend. We are NOT 'AT WAR' as only Congress has that power and they declined. I'm sick of judges legislating from the bench and I'm sick of lawyers and other subversives deciding that our Constitution was written on rubber instead of paper. The moral tenats of our Founding have NOT changed, only people's perceptions of same. Are you perhaps acquainted with the episode involving the Barbary Pirates and our DECLARED war on same?

Are you referring to Jefferson's attacks on them without congressional authorization...

Jefferson's attacks on them with congressional authorization but without a general declaration of war...

Or Madison's attacks on them after a general declaration of war by congress?

You want a Declaration of War acording to the founders? You think that the Congressional Resolution last September wasn't enough?

Please provide the words needed for a declaration, as specified in the Constitution.

Thank you.

Pray do tell us what makes you more qualified to make such a pronouncement than anyone else. You're entitled to your opinions and freedom of expression just like I am, but damn, you actually expect people to take you seriously!! All your talk about waking people up....BAH! I'm frankly sick and tired of all the Constitutional "Experts" around here who somehow expect that their subjective opinions and limited knowledge require other people to defer to what they say. Instead of trying to "wake up" everybody else, you ought to wake yourself up. You are no scholar, you're no expert, you're nobody to talk about cattle cars, you're a wife and mother with an opinion like everybody else. If I want a real opinion on the Constitutionality of recent or proposed legislation, I'll ask someone like William Rehnquist or Clarence Thomas or Kenneth Starr, not some fruitloop ranting on the internet.

If you don't know what you're talking about it's best to take that into account BEFORE you post.
There are several books on history that will help you with your lack of knowledge of the Founders and the Constitution.
