It is times like these that illustrate many of the great ironies in American politics: Jews vote overwhelmingly democratic yet conservatives are more supportive of Israel; Pacifist rail against American aggression yet these are same people who cry that we aren't doing enough to help 3rd world countries suffering under authoritarian regimes; and feminist shout out for diversity but where do they turn when confronted with the atrocities against women in the Middle East? To paraphrase a saying-- Conservatives are Liberals mugged by reality.
