Circumcision is no longer SOP in hospitals. Parents are asked whether they want the procedure or not. FTR, my husband and I chose not have our son circumcised. We left him exactly as God made him.>>

Yup exactly! I was asked twice, once at my obs office, and once at the hospital.

I saw an old man talking about circumcision on a talk show one day. I don't know what religion this old man was, but he was not circumsized as a baby. His opinions on male circumcision were thusly:

All men need to be circumsized sooner or later. As a person ages, your skin stretches and gets loose. If you are not circumsized, you will reach a point in your life where the skin is so long that it becomes a nuisance and has a negative effect on personal hygiene. You can choose to endure the hardship or you can choose to have the nuisance removed via surgery.

This particular old man chose surgery.

I was circumsized as birth. I have seen uncircusized men at the ymca, and I will tell you that what I saw was not a pretty sight.
