I think they do that already. The fact is, most feminists, when talking about 'feminist' issues, are talking about domestic 'feminist' issues.

They're talking about socialist issues. It's mostly based on what's fashionable.

Ask them about foreign treatment of women, and you'll get exactly what you're asking for -- women demanding that these bass-ackward countries evolve a little. There's plenty of press about feminists trying to use the UN to sway opinion on these, and other feminist issues.

They are not unapolgetically declaring Western freedom is best. They are, however, unapologetically declaring is that big government UN socialism is best. If I were a a third-worlder I'd be ticked too.

I think most feminist don't give a rats rear-end about third-world women. I think they care about themselves and their own self-image.

Socialist progressives are good at giving orders. They are incapable of saying why something is right or good. Why is female circumsion wrong? Because it is cruel to women. Why is that wrong? Well, ah, well, ah becaus it is.

It is wrong to be cruel because we are all made in God's image. We have natural rights. Feminist don't belive this.

Feminists lack credibility because they don't mind if the entire baby girl is mutilated and torn to pieces if it's called an abortion. You can even wait till the baby is born and then rip it apart, mutilate it's brain by extracting it into a syringe, harvest the organs or whatever.

Okay, I will accept this.. most of them live in African countries, a few in the Middle East Asia, and even in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada." However, when it is practiced in the countries outside of Africa is it primarily by Moslems?

I do agree it looks to be a cultural thing, but it is found in fundamental Islamic communities of all cultures. I do see your point, I do not mean to say it is prominent and accepted in all of Islam.

Interestingly enough, it is around 7-8 days after birth that a newborn's level of blood coagulant peaks. I can't remember where I picked up this factoid, but I remember it as reputable, so it stuck with me. If any one has any more to this, true or false, please by all means, post. I see circumcision as a matter left to parents, best done while the infant has no memory of the pain. People pierce their daughters ears at infant age, to avoid having the baby play with it, and for the same forgetting of pain at that young age. People should mind their own damn business.

It's amazing how feminists will object to one piece of tissue being cut out of a woman but not if the piece of tissue being cut out is her baby. Where is their argument "it's only a small piece of the mother's tissue"?

Female 'Circumcision' is not a Moslem practice it is an African practice. It is not practiced by Moslems outside Africa.

This cheery little Afican custom has been enthusiastically embraced by much of Islam and carried as far as Indonesia.

There was a sect of the Russian Orthodox Church that had similar practices. However, the men cut off the genitalia and the women cut off their breasts (don't know about the clitoris). There is a book about it which I read very quickly at Borders one night.
