A 105-year-old former Nazi-era prison camp guard is being investigated over alleged complicity in the mass murder of Allied prisoners of war.
German prosecutors have opened an investigation into the former Wehrmacht soldier over his alleged role at the notorious Stalag 326 VI K Senne camp in western Germany.
Now, more than 81 years later, German prosecutors are still pursuing those suspected of involvement in Nazi crimes.
The extraordinary investigation began after Germany's Central Office for the Investigation of National Socialist Crimes in Ludwigsburg referred the case to prosecutors in Dortmund in February.
A second former Stalag 326 guard had also been investigated but has since died.
Michael Otte, deputy head of the Ludwigsburg authority, confirmed to Bild newspaper: 'The guard of the Senne prisoner-of-war camp whose case is pending with the Dortmund public prosecutor is already 105 years old.'
The man could be among the oldest criminal suspects ever investigated by German prosecutors.
His extreme age does not automatically prevent a prosecution. Murder and complicity in murder have no statute of limitations in Germany, although any trial would depend on whether he was medically fit to face proceedings.
Dortmund prosecutors are separately investigating another former Wehrmacht guard, who was 100 when the investigation into his alleged role at a prisoner-of-war camp in Hemer began.
Germany has continued prosecuting elderly suspects decades after the Holocaust.
In December 2022, 97-year-old former Stutthof concentration camp secretary Irmgard Furchner was convicted of complicity in 10,505 murders and five attempted murders.

Well they need something to do, it’s not like they are going to “pursue” the muzz that are trying to take over.
Timely investigation...
What will Davos and Brussels do when the last WWII vet dies, and they no longer have straw men with which to guilt the German public into staying with the post-modern socialists and globalists?
A Muzzie just got elected mayor of Berlin.
> Timely investigation... <
Yes, indeed. The AfD is gaining strength in Germany. So of course it’s a target for the German Deep State. The AfD had already been painted as “far right”.
So now let’s gin up some WW2 memories as icing on the cake.
Side point: I have no idea if that old prison camp guard was an active murderer or just some guy working in the mail room. If it’s the former, he should face justice.
But it would seem to me that any living witnesses must have imperfect memories, given how much time has passed. Or would just being on a guard list be good enough?
Meanwhile, ADMITTED Nazi collaborator George Soros is still walking free.
Victor's Justice
"Victors' justice" is a legal and philosophical concept where the winners of a war apply different judicial and moral standards to themselves than they do to the defeated enemy. In practice, it means the victors prosecute the war crimes of the losers while granting absolute immunity to their own forces for similar or worse acts.
Core Principles of Victors' Justice
• Double Standards: A judicial process that punishes the actions of the defeated nation but ignores identical or comparable actions committed by the winning nations.
• Lack of Neutrality: The judges, prosecutors, and legal frameworks are established entirely by the prevailing powers rather than an independent, international body.
• Retroactive Law (Ex Post Facto): Criminalizing actions after they occurred, creating a situation where the losers are convicted under laws that did not exist or were not universally recognized when the acts took place.
Prominent Historical Examples
The term is most frequently associated with the aftermath of World War II:
Nuremberg Trials (Germany) Waging aggressive war, the Holocaust, mistreatment of POWs, and urban destruction.
Soviet Union: The Katyn Massacre (mass execution of Polish officers), the invasion of Poland and the Baltic states, and mass rapes during the occupation of Germany.
Western Allies: The firebombing of civilian centers like Dresden and Hamburg.
Tokyo Trials (Japan) Brutalization of POWs, massacres of civilians (e.g., Nanking), and chemical warfare.
United States: The atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which targeting dense urban civilian populations.
Impact on International Law,
While critics use the term "victors' justice" to highlight the hypocrisy and legal flaws of post-WWII tribunals, historians and legal scholars generally agree that these trials still served a vital purpose. They documented massive atrocities, established the legal precedents for "crimes against humanity" and "genocide," and laid the groundwork for modern international bodies like the International Criminal Court (ICC)—which is designed to be permanent and neutral, though it still faces challenges with geopolitical enforcement today.
You have to wonder if the German public has Nazi fatigue, like the American public has black fatigue. Eighty year old pictures of Holocaust victims and one hundred year old pictures of lynched black men lose their impact, especially as the Greatest Generation is gone, the Silent Generation is mostly gone, and the Boomers are going away.
It is over 80 years ago. You think you could identify today a girlfriend from over 80 years ago?
The “Central Office for the Investigation of National Socialist Crimes” must have its annual budget review coming up.

Yep. That’s the problem right there. I can’t see how they could convict this guy unless he either confesses or there’s some kind of photographic evidence.
I really don’t think the goal here is justice, anyway. Just a bit of virtue signaling. Because I just looked it up. Stalag 326 VI K was not a death camp. It was a POW camp, one of many. Prisoners were abused, and worse, there. But that doesn’t make every guard there a criminal.
Really. Justice delayed is justice denied.
I don’t care what happens to this guy, but the new Germany probably just wants to kill him to save on medical costs.
Bkmk
I am afraid that he changed his political color quickly, and surreptitiously, enough.
Still, I believe that Mr. Soros should be ashamed of himself. Like so many other mighty people in our times…
