So true. Every adult in the community kept eyes on things. I got ratted out for things I had no idea someone had seen. A burnout at the red light, my dad knew before I walked in the door.
Riding bikes on the local airport runway... thought we got away clean. But no...
No secrets in a small town.
I'm from a small town in northern Michigan. Back in the fall of 1968, I was out partridge hunting with a buddy way outside of town. We came upon a wide creek where a couple salmon were coming up to spawn I guess. So we starting shooting at them. My buddy finally got one and he took it home.
When I got home, my step dad confronted me and asked where I was hunting and if I had anything to do with shooting salmon in a creek.
I swore up and down I knew nothing, but real issue is how he got word about us potentially being the culprits.....LOL!
