While I agree with that, my question is, what was the upside of having this guy there in the first place?

The scripts were pre approved; the comment was improv. All commedians are well versed in improv, not the prompter. No one would want to see an prompter commedian.

Thats the real question. He is unnecessarily abrasive and has become a distraction, even if a minor one. There’s no upside I can see. A campaign blunder. Hopefully, it won’t matter.

He's part of this neo-right cabal that includes Joe Rogan, Theo Vonn, Burt Kreischer, Tom Segura and other comedians. They appeal to males and young males in particular.
