A Democrat mayor has sparked outrage online - and among his own constituents - claiming Donald Trump faked the assassination attempt at a rally Saturday that left a bystander dead.
The mayor of Washington's Aberdeen, Douglas Orr, went so far as to claim the former president, who is currently running for a second chance at the White House, may have been inspired by tactics used at pro wrestling matches.
Orr posited that Trump may have cut his ear as part of the stunt, and is asking that independent doctors review his injury.
The apparently spelling-challenged mayor put the outlandish conspiracy theory in a Facebook post riddled with errors where he decried that it's 'sick how polatics [sic] have devolved.'
The Democrat claimed: 'Ears bleed alot [sic]. I hope they check to make sure it wasn’t just a self inflicted scratch. We will never know if it was staged.'
Short of Biden dieing [sic], this is about the only thing that could happen that would artificially gain Trump sympathy votes.
Orr, who works as an artist, went on to explain that he was questioning the assassination attempt because 'he spent his life growing up watching World Wrestling.'
He said: 'Half the world thinks that they’re really wrestlers and, sure, they’re athletic and all that. But they get paid money for cutting themselves on the forehead or the ear or the top of the head. Areas that bleed a lot and with very little damage.'
While admitting that he has no proof of his claims, Orr said his gut is telling him it was staged because Trump is a 'television actor' with a 'long, horrific trail of this man lying and putting on stunts.'
Orr won his election for mayor by just four votes after two hand recounts in 2023.

This sort of DBag needs to be “review bombed”. Login to the city’s web site and leave pithy messages like “pi$$ off mayor”. Hundreds of thousands of them — like what is done when Disney puts out another piece of StarWars crappola. Send a message to anyone else going to the site — “Your mayor is a DBag and you need to get rid of him.”

In case anyone had doubts, Mayor Doug confirms that liberalism is a mental disease. Mix it with Trump Derangement Syndrome and you have a deadly combination.

A couple of guys I’ve played basketball with said the same thing when I announced the shooting on our email chain, that it was faked, and that Trump had popped a blood capsule the way professional wrestlers do for show. Tell that to the families of the wounded and murdered attendees.
Aberdeen is a very small coastal town in WA. Nowhere near Seattle. Kurt Cobain grew up there.
Driven through Aberdeen twice in the last 20 years on the way to the Pennesula. Big sign now on the main drag “Come as you are” Cobain / Nirvana reference. Zero reason to stop, ugly rough looking dump.
Demoncrats have been spreading that lie from the very star.
Once sat next to Mr Orr on a chi-sf flight. Very nice man who autographed my boarding pass.
