NYPD detectives are urgently seeking a female subway passenger filmed stabbing a gunman during a train brawl, shortly before he was shot with his own weapon.
The woman, who has not been identified, was seen stabbing the unnamed victim, 36, in the back several times as he fought with another male passenger aged 32.
'You stabbed me? You stabbed me?' the shooting victim said to the woman repeatedly, as she responds: 'I didn't do nothing' while blood seeped from his shirt.
Terrified commuters scrambled to escape the melee, which appeared to be initiated by the shooting victim, dressed all in black, as he accused the other man, who wore a yellow sweater, of being a 'migrant beating up cops.'
He was seen producing a gun and moving towards the woman seen stabbing him. Panicked passengers began to flee towards the Northbound A train's doors as it pulled into Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets Station in Brooklyn Thursday evening.
Gunshots could be heard ringing out as they fled screaming onto the platform. But it was the gunman himself - the 36-year-old dressed in black - who ended up being shot with his own gun after a struggle, leaving him critically injured.
The NYPD told DailyMail.com on Friday morning the shooting victim, seen in the footage wearing a dark jacket and yellow hat, remains in critical condition, while the gunman, wearing a yellow shirt, is in custody.
Cops were quick to note the shooting victim's role in the incident, saying at a press conference that 'when you bring a gun on the train and start a fight, it is not right. It is outrageous... that's what happened here.'

Russia is Catholic of the Orthodox variety, specifically Russian Orthodox.
It is decidedly NOT Protestant.
Russians do not follow Rome, or should I say Vatican City. Do you know why Catholic priests aren’t arrested, nuns either? They are ambassadors of the Vatican. They are immune from prosecution. They are literally citizens of a foreign country.
I’m so confused! The woman brought a knife to a gun fight, stabbed the guy with the gun, then the guy with the gun got shot, and the guy who shot him was arrested? I thought the National Guard was supposed to check everyone for weapons? Let me off this hand cart!
Priests can get arrested just like anyone else. They do not have diplomatic immunity.
